'barrel', loading aperture 7 1/2in. from the muzzle with rifled insert, dove-tailed guarded fore-sight, vacant dove-tail for rear-sight, plain top-tang mounted with a pan-headed aperture sight, plain hump-back lock, the external hammer connected via a linkage to the striker in the barrel, walnut half-stock with chequered wrist and moulded cheek-piece, Swiss style iron heel-plate, complex spurred trigger-guard bow, double-set triggers and smooth fore-end with moulded schnabel tip
